About this opportunity
What it is
The IAEA's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme exists to get more young women into the nuclear field. It funds selected students through a master's degree in a nuclear-related subject at an accredited university — your own choice of university, anywhere — and offers a limited number of IAEA-facilitated internships on top.
What it covers
- Up to €20,000 towards tuition
- Up to €20,000 towards living costs
If you hold another scholarship you must declare it; the IAEA then reduces its support accordingly, typically covering tuition only. Failing to disclose can suspend the award.
Who can apply
- Women who are nationals of an IAEA Member State — Cameroon is one
- Accepted by, or already enrolled in, an accredited master's programme in a nuclear-related field
- Preference goes to applicants with 75%+ or a GPA above 3.0/4.0
Fields that count
Nuclear engineering, nuclear physics and chemistry, nuclear medicine, isotopic techniques, radiation biology, nuclear safety, nuclear security, non-proliferation and nuclear law, among others.
Note before you apply
All documents must be in English — include certified translations if your originals are not. Incomplete applications are not considered. One reference is mandatory and must reach the IAEA from your referee by the deadline.
If you accept an award you are expected to graduate; failing to complete the master's obliges you to repay the support.
