About this opportunity

What it is

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK funds full-time one-year master's degrees at UK universities for candidates from developing Commonwealth countries who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK. Around 800 CSC awards are made across all schemes each year.

What it covers

  • Approved return airfare from your home country to the UK
  • Full tuition fees at a participating UK university
  • A living stipend of £1,712 per month, or £2,000 per month at universities in the London metropolitan area
  • A study travel grant
  • Child allowance where applicable

How to apply

You cannot apply directly to the CSC. Applications must go through a national nominating agency or an eligible NGO in your country, and are submitted on CSC Central at portal.csccentralonline.org.uk. Start with your nominating agency early — their own internal deadlines fall before the CSC's.

Note on eligibility

This scheme is open to candidates from 43 named Commonwealth countries. Cameroon is not on that list — check the country field on this card before you invest time in an application.

Closes Tuesday 20 October 2026 at 16:00 BST.
