About this opportunity
This is a simulation contest on Kaggle, Google's data science platform. You write a bot that plays a turn-based farming game — buying seeds and livestock, planting, watering, harvesting and selling at a fluctuating market — and it plays repeated matches against other people's bots on a live ladder. Whoever's bot banks the most money over the season ranks highest.
Anyone worldwide can enter except residents of a short sanctions list, so Cameroonian students are eligible. You need a free Kaggle account and reasonable Python.
The prize structure is unusually generous at the top: places one through ten each receive USD 5,000, so you do not have to win outright to be paid.
Two things catch people out. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to receive any prize. And there is an earlier gate than the one on this card — you must accept the competition rules by 23 September, a full week before submissions close, so leaving registration to the final week disqualifies you.
Everything runs online and there is no fee at any stage. Submissions close 30 September 2026 at 23:59 UTC.
