A school-based programme that gives secondary school students in Bamenda the chance to experience Computer Science in practice — through club sessions, real projects, mentorship from technology professionals, and an inter-school challenge in April 2027.

Why the clubs exist

Most students meet Computer Science as a subject, not as something they can build with.

Technology shapes education, employment, entrepreneurship and communication — yet classroom exposure rarely reaches the creative and practical side of the field. Togeva CS Clubs create space inside the school where students can try it for themselves.

Who takes part

Three levels, one club

Every participating school runs a single club with activities pitched at three levels. The curriculum for each level is developed by Togeva and aligned with the school's own context.

    Form 1 – Form 3

    Curiosity & foundations

    Building curiosity, foundational understanding, exploration and confidence with technology.
  2. 02
    Form 4 – Form 5

    Knowledge & projects

    Strengthening Computer Science knowledge and introducing more practical, project-based activities.
  3. 03
    Lower Sixth – Upper Sixth

    Application & pathways

    Advanced exploration, problem-solving, career awareness and preparation for further studies in technology.
How it works

A partnership with the school, run by the students

  1. Step 01

    Establish the club

    Togeva works with the school to set up or support a Computer Science Club and appoint a coordinator.
  2. Step 02

    Run the sessions

    Structured learning, practical exercises, demonstrations and student-led activities, level by level.
  3. Step 03

    Build projects

    Students work individually or in teams on projects suited to their level, and present what they build.
  4. Step 04

    Compete

    Selected students represent their school at the Togeva CS Clubs Inter-School Challenge in April 2027.

The Inter-School Challenge

Two days that close the club year: students from participating schools come together to build, present and compete with the projects and skills they developed through the programme.

Inspiration & creation

Technology talks, interaction with professionals, problem identification, brainstorming and team build time — a hackathon-inspired format.

Beyond prizes, winners may receive mentorship, access to Togeva learning programmes, sponsored participation or scholarships, and certificates of recognition. Final categories depend on the competition format and available sponsorship.

The Togeva Campus Ambassador Programme is one of the main channels for bringing CS Clubs into schools. Ambassador recruitment runs through September 2026, with school outreach beginning in October.

What we expect

Outcomes by the end of the cycle

  • A network of active Computer Science Clubs across participating schools
  • Student-developed technology projects, built and presented by teams
  • Greater exposure to technology careers, mentors and opportunities
  • Increased student confidence in presenting and solving problems
  • Stronger collaboration between schools and the technology ecosystem
  • An annual platform for inter-school Computer Science collaboration
Progress is tracked through schools onboarded, active clubs, student participation, sessions held, projects developed and feedback from students, teachers and coordinators. A programme report follows the April 2027 challenge.
