The Togeva Orientation aims to bridge the gap in guidance and orientation for students in secondary schools, particularly. By leveraging AI, this project seeks to provide a personalized orientation that aligns with student’s strengths and interests, ultimately guiding them towards fulfilling academic and professional paths.
Problem Statement
In many secondary schools, students often face a lack of proper orientation and guidance, particularly concerning technical fields and potential career paths. This often results in frustration and a lack of direction as students struggle to find their way. Many students complete their General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level but face challenges in gaining admission to tertiary institutions. They often end up writing multiple entrance exams for various schools, many of which may not align with their interests or passions. This situation leads to a sense of disillusionment and a lack of fulfilment in their academic and professional lives.
This OCR Module will utilize Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to extract data from students’ report cards. By analyzing their academic performance, the AI will identify students’ strengths and areas of excellence. This data will serve as the foundation for personalized orientation and career recommendations.
In Survey feature, students will be asked a series of questions designed to uncover their interests, passions, and aspirations. The AI will analyze their responses to provide tailored guidance and recommendations that align with their personal goals.
